The VALUEWASTE project, a European initiative coordinated by CETENMA (Centro Tecnológico de la Energía y Medio Ambiente), has been granted funding by the European Commission, under the “Societal Challenge 2” programme (under Horizon 2020). The project consortium is made up of 19 partners from 6 different countries across Europe.

The VALUEWASTE project proposes an integrated approach in urban biowaste upcycling for the production of high-value bio-based products, developing the first complete solution to fully valorise biowaste that can be replicated across Europe.

Our role within the project will develop nitrogen extraction from dewatering reject in pilot scale, deliver solutions for digestate dewatering and drying, and productifying dried digestate, extracted nitrogen and extracted phosphorus.

The project started on November 2018, it will last 4 years and gathers 17 partners from 6 different countries.
